Lok Prasar Prakalpa
- Eligibility :
Folk artistes having income less than 1,50,000/- per annum with expertise in Folk songs, Folk dances. Practising the same for years and can perform.
- How to apply :
Offline application has to be submitted to the DICO / respective SDICO office, duly certified by BDO / Executive Officer of Blocks and Municipalities / MLA / MP and others with proof of performing / Experience Certificate, income certificate, whenever the department directs to submit application. Auditions are organised among the applicants for enlistment of folk artistes into the scheme.
The submission of application has been stopped since June' 2017 and will be started again as and when directed by the deptt.

- The Retainers are also engaged in Folk performances in awareness campaigns / cultural programme etc. for which they are paid the Performance Fee worth @ Rs. 1000/- per head per day.
MAAVOI - West Bengal Health Scheme for Journalists
- Eligibility :
Media Personnel, having Press Accreditation Card (PAC), issued by the department of I&CA, may be enlisted under the scheme MAAVOI - West Bengal Health Scheme for Journalists.
- How to apply :
Applications have to be submitted offline, to the DICO Office.

State Welfare Scheme for Purohit (SWSP)
- Eligibility :
Temple Priest / Community Priest of age above 18 years may apply for the scheme.

Applications may be submitted Offline, to the Block / Municipalities, whenever the department of I&CA directs to receive application.

- Statistical achievement of last FY :
Total 1862 Priests have been approved for the scheme, by the department of I&CA, initially. The beneficiaries have received a monthly assistance of Rs. 1000/- upto July’ 2021.
Success Story/Case Study/any unique initiative
As a result of the implementation of Lok Prasar Prakalpa so many folk forms like Astak, have been revived. Simultaneously so many distressed folk artistes have been encouraged to practise various folk forms, resulting to resurgence of folk culture.
